ECOedge Carbon Reduction Plan

 ECOedge Ltd is committed to achieving Net Zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050, in line with UK Government targets.

As a consultancy specialising in retrofit coordination, retrofit design, PAS2035 compliance and domestic decarbonisation projects, we recognise our responsibility to minimise the environmental impact of our own operations while supporting clients in reducing carbon emissions from the built environment.

This Carbon Reduction Plan has been prepared in accordance with the principles of PPN 06/21 and sets out our commitment to measuring, monitoring and reducing greenhouse gas emissions arising from our business activities.

Baseline Year: 2025 

ECOedge Ltd is a consultancy business with no owned premises, manufacturing activities or significant operational assets.

The principal sources of emissions are:

• Business travel.
• Employee commuting.
• Home working energy use.
• Purchased electricity associated with office activities.
• Digital and cloud-based services.

As ECOedge Ltd develops its environmental reporting arrangements, emissions data will be reviewed annually and updated within this plan.

Reporting Year: 2025 

ECOedge Ltd is currently implementing procedures to measure and record emissions in accordance with recognised carbon accounting methodologies.

The following measures are already in place:

• Remote-first working arrangements to reduce commuting emissions.
• Digital project delivery and document management systems to minimise paper use.
• Online meetings used wherever practicable to reduce travel requirements.
• Electronic signatures and cloud-based collaboration systems.
• Procurement of energy efficiency and low-carbon consultancy services as our primary business activity.
• Promotion of fabric-first retrofit and domestic decarbonisation measures through our client work.
• Ongoing review of vehicle travel requirements and journey planning.

Over the next five years ECOedge Ltd intends to:

• Establish a formal annual carbon reporting process.
• Quantify Scope 1, Scope 2 and relevant Scope 3 emissions.
• Monitor business mileage and travel-related emissions.
• Reduce business travel through increased use of remote surveying and digital collaboration tools where appropriate.
• Review renewable electricity options for all office-based operations.
• Engage suppliers that demonstrate environmental responsibility and carbon reduction commitments.
• Continue supporting domestic retrofit projects that contribute to national decarbonisation objectives.

This Carbon Reduction Plan has been completed in accordance with current UK Government guidance and represents ECOedge Ltd's commitment to reducing its environmental impact and achieving Net Zero emissions by 2050.
